RICH CLEMENTS
Guitar, Vocals, Songwriter
Rich Clements has been a part of the Saratoga music scene for over a decade. He has performed solo, with duo partners, with the acoustic trio The Porch Rockers, and as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of The Rich Clements Band. In 2020, Rich recorded a five song EP of original music entitled, “In My Head.” His song, “I Will Walk With You” has been getting regular airplay on WEXT 97.7. Rich and his music partners are regulars on the craft beverage music scene, having played at Druthers, Common Roots, Unified Beerworks, Artisanal Brew Works, The Saratoga Winery, Mean Max, Frog Alley, and more. During the Covid slow down, Rich has been busy working on new material which he is excited to share once things get back to normal.
GARY DAVID O
Drums, Washboard, Vocals
Gary started playing in elementary school and never looked back. Sneaking into gigs in high school by carrying equipment. Jamming with friends in college (Oneonta). Playing the open jams at the Olde Saratoga Brewery. Gary joined the Rich Clements Band when Rich needed a drummer for a gig and left a note on Gary’s door. The rest is history! He has added lead and background vocals and brings out the washboard on some songs just to keep it cool.
RAY GARGETT
Bass
Ray started life in the UK forming a band with friends when he was about 14 called The Keats, picking bass as his instrument to learn as guitar and drums were already taken.
A year or two later Ray and the guitarist hooked up with 3 others to form a rock band, Odin playing many clubs in the NE of England.
A move to the USA in 1979 was followed by a 27 year hiatus from music before purchasing an old bass just for fun. A friend talked him into joining him at an open mic where he met and sat in with Rich. That was the beginning of a long musical relationship between Rich and Ray. Ray is the foundation of the sound, and a foundation for all the band members to lean on.
JON TARIO
Lead Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals
Jon is the true professional of the group. He has an A.S. in guitar performance, B.A. in music industry (minor in audio production), and M.S. in music ed. He currently teaches band and orchestra at East Greenbush Public Schools and operates a private lesson studio. Jon’s experience includes wedding guitarist gigs throughout the Adirondacks and Catskills and playing guitar in Silver Arrow and Soul Session. Jon joined the Rich Clements Band after a mutual friend gave Rich a gift certificate for some lessons with Jon. Rich wasn’t about to let him get away! When he’s not playing guitar you’ll find Jon hiking or photographing the natural world.
